Making the M5 hole which pierces the block.

  • Drilling the holes for the clamp screws.  The screws are M6x50mm.  The hole has three dimensions at different depths.  M5 through the block, 1/4" for 1.5" from the top, and 7/16" by .25" thick for the head of the bolt.
  • Making the M5 hole which pierces the block.
  • All holes are done.
  • The bottom of the block.
  • Cutting the block in half.
  • The finished block. I didn't take photos of one step, facing the inside surfaces after cutting the block in half.  You can also see in this photo that I accidentally started to cut on the wrong surface.  Glad I caught that before it went all the way through.
  • The block split apart.
