I CNC'd the ovals in these tubing blocks to clamp the oval shape of the stays. The one on the left was made first, I thickened up the cap for the second one.

  • This piece of scrap makes a useful dummy tire to make sure that the stays are centered.
  • I used the dummy axle holder from my frame fixture.  I brazed the dropouts to the chainstays while they were in the fixture.
  • I CNC'd the ovals in these tubing blocks to clamp the oval shape of the stays.  The one on the left was made first, I thickened up the cap for the second one.
  • Ready to do the final miter.
  • Mitered.
  • Test fit
  • On the frame fixture
